Obama Sings: The Other Benefits of Television

In the 1950s, the television helped create support for the Civil Rights Movement as people witnessed the racism for themselves. 

In the 2000s, television allows us to gather clips of Obama's speeches and compile them into popular songs, as the youtube channel barackdubs does.

  1. Haha, thanks for posting this Olivia! This is hilarious... It's crazy how technology has changed so much from the time period we're learning about. It wasn't even one hundred years ago! As Mr. Stewart mentioned, the first presidential debates were only 75 years ago (in 1960) and now we have enough footage of Obama to make him sing popular songs.
